Anchoring a new development in Jeddah, Al Fadl Mosque focuses on the metaphysical relationship between prayer, light, water and the ground plane that connects Islam’s adherents with Mecca.  The design of the interior re-casts one of the religion’s most meaningful symbols -  the crescent moon – into its original three-dimensional form to provide a new language for the Qibla wall, Mihrab and Minbar. Supported by a retail and parking podium that serves both the mosque and the neighborhood, Al Fadl Mosque will pay honor to a family with long historic ties to Jeddah.
